Strength In Strides promotes fitness and play while nourishing healthy family habits, for individuals and families. Functional Strength Training is used to regulate emotions, combat trauma to perform optimally in athleticism and everyday life.

Distress plays a major role on a physiological basis. Patients report feelings of restricted movement, feelings of tightness, muscle pain or tension. WE DO NOT WANT TO PUT LOAD on these dysfunctions or that will strengthen the dysfunction. Muscle compensation will take over and will leave you more susceptible to injury/reinjury.

This same distress plays a role in emotional dysfunctions, using mal-adaptive survival tactics and repeating generational patterns of trauma. This leaves individuals and families more vulnerable to emotional dysregulation.

 

 This will not allow you to adapt properly to life’s challenges. Translated in the physical sense, this means you are more susceptible to injury and not just physical injury but emotional injury/reinjury.

Strength In Strides provides clients with the tools to learn how to scan the body for tightness in muscles, pain or dysregulation. We study movement patterns, muscle dysfunctions and lifestyle habits. We alleviate restrictions, correct muscle movement and work towards strengthening new neuropathways for neuromuscular performance. This allows clients to progress in their strength and wellness programs effectively and efficiently.  

The benefits of strength training and the neuromuscular effects of the brain, guided with talk therapy, allow patients to control and regulate emotions, combat distress and prevent relapses aka injury/reinjury.

She is researching trauma or distress of the muscles, and the brain; with neuromuscular data and how it affects overall body functionality.

This class incorporates barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells and other functional weight modules. This strength intensive class will leave you feeling strong, accomplished and sweaty with low weight, high rep and high intensity training. All levels are welcome. Grab a fitness class while the littles are in the play area. 4 grown ups max. Wiggles (12mths - 2.5yrs): subject to change depending on popular age range.

Kids toys and equipment is set up, along with designated kid proofing areas. For the kids to play and explore while mom and/or dad and/or family member, can get a good work out in.

For infants - toddlers:

Our injury screenings are provided by our in house Pre-Med: Chiropractor student.

He will take you through a series of tests, screenings and movement drills to assessed compromised or restricted areas of movement or injury. He is prepared to give you suggestions for any muscle dysfunction, injuries, sprains or tears.
